Cereus Cactus Split In Two

Picked up this sectioned of Cereus cactus back in August, which brought me three blooms at that time. All this time
I had suspended on a broken clay pot outdoors for drying.
A month ago I noticed two new cactus sprouting. I've
wanting to split this in two for a month or so. So, yesterday
was that day and I'm going to keep indoors to dry and callus.

From My Experimental Kitchen - Ceviche

Using frozen Sea Scallops, this is my fourth time. Building
on each attempt and enjoying the process. The Serrano chili
peppers shown here have not made their way into this recipe
 yet.

Afrocarpus gracilor - Fern Pine

Purchased this new plant at an Estate Sale yesterday.

 While trimming, tying and staking up this specimen in the kitchen.
A frog had found it's way to my kitchen counter. Not surprised by
this, knowing that the hazards of bringing a plant indoors.
So I thought that I would capture it and place in my outdoor
Tadpolearium last night only to still find it still the next day.
Wondering if it had been here once before while it was taking
up residence in and all too familiar spot behind the filtration
system.

New Infrastructure

Added some 'grass like' structures made of natural elements and testing
their viability.

Brought the remaining Tadpoles from outdoors to these indoor environs.
Temperatures are more constant where they will develop quicker.  Not
to mention the enjoyment of watching them thrive.

Technically still a froglet as shown in
this picture. Last of the original six or
seven that were brought indoors. There
were several Tadpoles that were outdoors
that did not survive temperature that dipped
down into the low thirties.

Tail free and transferred to the outdoor's Tadpolearium to get it's bearings
and free to do what it likes.

Familiar and similar surroundings before it takes that leap.

One Last Goodbye

A Month Has Passed And About A Dozen Frogs Later

SuperMoon not so bright when competing with fog and clouds.
Shortly after this photo was taken the moon got swallowed up
along with the lights across the lake where we were practicing
our Sunrise Yoga.

No worries, this Mud recipe that has been in development for over a year can
brighten the long dark nights of Winter. From somewhere in the world where
the so called seasonal Macadamia arrives in time for our winter holidays adds
it's oily goodness to the mix.

Scaled down a water garden in hopes of discouraging the night creatures that
use this as their watering hole.

This little guy is the second to the last seven originals that I had brought indoors
that made the successful transition from Tadpole to Frog. That's the easy part.
It will be placed outside to the outdoor's Tadpolearium and make that leap
into our urban wilds.

This frog is no shrimp. The largest and to have emerged in time for the
Winter Solstice, which makes this bronze beauty even more special.

It's a good thing I happen to have waken early that morning to capture it.
Otherwise it would have been very disappointed had it made the leap to
an even more inhospitable environment we humans call a home.

This little ham warrants a mention, just because.

Big indoor frog and outdoor frog meet to strategies for the great escape.

This big guy missed being a New Year frog by a day or two.
